Scholarship

  •

The Theta Chapter recognizes that we are at the University of Illinois to learn and graduate.  It is expected that each sister will try her hardest to reach her academic potential.

Sigma Kappa tries its hardest to help all of our sisters achieve this.  Every sister is assigned a study buddy in her major and many girls often call on these buddies for help and advice.  Many girls also take classes together so that they can call on them for help.

Our Vice President of Scholarship is always coming up with new ideas to help sisters reach their goals.  Each month, there is a "Sig Kafe" where sisters meet at a house to study together.  There are also weekly prizes for members who complete the most study hours!  We also meet monthly with a fraternity on campus to participate in a "study challenge".  The chapter that raises the GPA their most wins, and the other chapter hosts a social event in their favor.

We believe that scholarship can be fun! Our Fall 2010 GPA was 3.3622, which is 12th among sororities!
