    Executive Council

     


      

    President - Molly McKiel

      

    As the Chapter president, I preside over all informal and formal chapter meetings and Executive Council meetings, officiate at all ritual ceremonies, manage the general administration of all chapter activies and uphold the terms outlined in our Sigma Kappa Constitution.  I am the representative for Sigma Kappa Sorority at all Panhellenic and and 4 Council gatherings.  I make sure all chapter business is accomplished in a timely manner and do much of the "behind the scenes" work to make sure that everything is functioning properly in our chapter.


     

    Executive Vice President - Shelley Sternard

     

     I work closely with the Chapter President to keep our chapter running smoothly.  I am in charge of the cabinet and conduct meetings with them to ensure they are reaching their goals.  I am also responsible for the Standards Council that makes sure all members are following the Sigma Kappa Code of Conduct.  I can step in for the President at all chapter meetings if necessary.

     

     


    Vice President of New Member Education - Juliana Spear 

     

    I am responsible for teaching all of our new members all about Sigma Kappa.  I plan Bid Day, all new member meetings, I-Week, and handle all of the responsiblities that have to do with educating our new members how to be great active members.

     

     


    Vice President of  Finance - Megan Cook 

     

    I am responsible for the finances of the entire chapter. I collect dues and set the budget by working with our executive board, housing corporation, and advisory board to keep our chapter running smoothly.

     

     


    Vice President of Scholarship- Emily Szachowicz

      

     I am responsible for reporting our Chapter's academic progess, developing scholarship incentives and programs/ workshops, providing a positive study enviroment, and promoting academics as a whole. 

     

     


    Vice President of Membership - Ashley Stead

      

     I am in charge of planning our chapter's formal and informal recruitment.  This involves creating plans for each day of formal recruitment; planning a skit, philanthropy craft, and dance; and running all recruitment workshops.  I also help to coordinate informal recruitment and plan fun events for potential new members to attend.

     

     


    Vice President of Alumni Relations - Lisa Melbourn

     

     I am responsible for the relationship with all alumnae and for promoting within each member of the chapter a life-time commitment to Sigma Kappa.  I also send out an annual newsletter to Theta Alumnae, plan our Founder's Day, manage our Alumnae website, and send in articles to our national magazine, the Sigma Kappa Triangle. 

     


    Vice President of Communication - Heather Punke


    I am responsible for taking minutes during all Chapter and Executive Board meetings.  I am also in charge of taking attendance at Sigma Kappa events and completing all paperwork regarding the statue of our members.

     

      

      

    Vice President of Philanthropic Service - Nora Bishop 

      

    I am responsible for all internal philanthropy and for all fundraising that goes towards our Foundation philanthropies which include: Alzheimer's disease (UltraViolet Campaign, Memory Walk, Fiesta dinner, and our Kickball tournament), Gerontology (visiting and working with the elderly), Maine Sea Coast Mission, and Inherit the Earth.

     



     

    Panhellenic Delegate - Hilary Osborn

      

    I am Sigma Kappa's representative at Panhellenic meetings and vote for the chapter.  I am responsible for informing the chapter of Panhellenic Council activities and helping to keep member active in the entire Greek community on campus.

    Assistant to the Vice President of New Member Education - Katie Colletti

     

    I assist the Vice President of New Member Education in all of her duties and in teaching the new members all they need to know about Sigma Kappa.  I help them to feel at home at Sigma Kappa and prepare them to be active members.

     


    Assistant to the Vice President of Scholarship - Hayley Motowski

     

    I assist the Vice President of Scholarship with all of her duties and help plan and create new programs to help give our maintain our high academic standards.

     


    Assistance to the Vice President of Membership - Kristen Moore

     

    I assist the Vice President of Membership in planning formal recruitment.

     

     


    Assistant to the Vice President of Finance - Dana Edwards

     

    I assist the Vice President of Finance with managing the finances of the entire chapter.

     


    External Philanthropy Assistant - Meredith Hyland


    I am the link between the PHC and IFC Philanthropy Chairs and the house. I encourage our ladies to participate in other house's events, as well as promoting our philanthropy events to PHC and IFC houses. I also keep track of all of the service hours that the chapter participates in during the semester.

     



    Internal Philanthropy Assistant - Rachel Hopman

     

    As assistant to the Vice President of Philanthropic Service, I take care of all responsibilities given to me by the Vice President regarding internal philanthropy. These include helping organize and run all events, as well as promote each event with enthusiasm to ensure our chapter's dedication to our philanthropic services.


     

    External Social Chair


    As External Social Chair, it is my job to maintain healthy relationships with the fraternity men on campus. It is my duty to organize and supervise our events, which include: happy hours, exchanges, and Illinois football block.  These relationships are not only for social events, which are always great, but also helps with our philanthropy events.

     



    Internal Social Chair - Jinal Patel

     

    As Internal Social Chair, I plan and coordinate events for the girls of our chapter. Some of these events include a barndance in the fall, the famous Grinch dance in December, semi-formal in February, and a big formal in the Spring. It is my responsibility to follow the social budget, and plan fun and supervised events throughout the year.



    Continuing Membership - Ann Waranoski

     

    I am in charge of planning informal recruitment.

     


    Public Relations - Phaelon Voss

     

    I work to promote our chapter and our members in the best way possible by creating a PR plan and implementing it.  This includes promoting campaigns to wear our letters, creating banners, and placing ads in our campus newspaper.

     


    Sisterhood Chair - Meghan Hosken

      

    I am in charge of planning fun actitives for our members to do each week or so that help promote sisterly bonding within our chapter.



    Historian - Jessica Hanna

     

    I am in charge of documenting the chapter's activities each semester so that they can be remembered.  Each semester, I create a scrapbook for the chapter to remember all the fun we had!

     


    Ritual Chair

     

    I am in charge of making sure that all of our ritual is done correctly at Formal Pledging, Pin Return, Inititation and other ceremony events.   I also help the chapter learn all of our Sigma Kappa songs.

     


    Senior Representatives - Melissa Dilillo and Katie Fey

     

    We are responsible for planning and coordinating all senior events that take place throughout the year.  We also plan fun activities that the seniors put on for the chapter and for our new members.

     


    Risk Management - Tanis Klinger

     

    I work closely with the Panhellenic Executive Board to make sure that all of our women and safe and prepared for risky situations.  I organize guest speakers that come and inform our chapter on a variety of topics each semester and also am a designated sober sister at social events.

     


    House Manager - Hannah Dole

     

    I am responsible for making sure that the chapter house runs smoothly and that all the codes are met while working closely with our House Director.  I set up fire drills and city fire inspections, make sure all the house rules are being followed, and assign closing duties.

     


    Ordering Chair - Kate Scholtes

     

    I am the one that creates all the cute Sigma Kappa themed clothing, party favors, and any other items for the house.  I am also in charge of ordering our annual composite picture each year.

     


    Technology Chair - Ashley Hewson

     

    I am responsible for maintaining our chapter's website and making sure that all of our chapter's technology runs smoothly.  I make sure that the computers and network are functioning correctly.

     


    Mom's Day Chairs - Suzanne Nolan

     

    I am in charge of planning all of the fun activities that take place on Mom's Day in the spring!

     


    Environmental Chair – Leah Wilkening 


     My duties are to make the sorority house more environmentally friendly. Also, to make members more aware oenvironmental issues and how they could make a difference. 



    Triangle Correspondent – Danielle Fragen


    I write a report four times a year on what has been going on for the Theta chapter of Sigma Kappa and send it into Nationals. This report includes significant events and unique ideas from that semester as well as awards won by the Chapter and its members. Highlights from this report may be selected to appear the Sigma Kappa Triangle magazine.

     

     


    Atius Chair - Julie Chamberlain


    My job is to put together a skit for the Atius-Sachem Mom's Day Sing that happens on Mom's Day weekend. Putting together this show includes choosing a theme, choosing music, creating choreography, and running practices to make sure our performance is the best it can be!
